The Independent Medical Waste Transporters Association has been formed to address the needs, concerns, and growth components of a finite number of privately owned transporters.  In comparison to North America’s largest Medical Waste Transporter, Stericycle, who alone is a multibillion dollar company, privately owned transporters, collectively represent a billion dollar company.

The I.M.W.T.A represents an alliance of the privately owned, independent medical waste transporters who compete with Stericycle every day to provide medical waste treatment and disposal services to a variety of generators ranging from hospitals and physician offices to nursing homes, clinics, labs, and more. Independent Medical Waste Transporters, like my company, Barnett Medical Services, offer comparable services to Stericycle in regions throughout North America.  

We have the ability to offer extremely competitive pricing, flexibility in our service methodology, and most importantly, our alliance enables national reach with the look and feel of a local, privately owned operation.
